Quick tutorial

Post by The Morrigan on Sun Aug 19, 2012 2:29 am

For those of you that find a sweet picture on a website, but can't find the name of the character or characters in the picture. It's especially handy if you want to faceclaim the character but don't know the name or the source.

Right click on the picture and:

If IE: Click properties.
If Firefox: Click View Image Info

Find the direct link in the info box that comes up, and copy it to your clipboard.

Now go to Google.

Go to the image search tab, and click the image of the little camera in the search bar.

Now paste your link in the box and hit enter.

Similar images should come up.

Now you can either look on the sites the new images are posted on for the name; or, most of the time Google will guess at the image origins and tell you in bold blue italics, right at the top of the page what it is that you are looking for.
