Dungeon System Innovation

So, I partly got this idea from Magi. Basically, every now in then we should have an event where a dungeon or area mysteriously appears. Not only would this be site stimulation but the mods and admins could also have a lot of fun designing it. Within the dungeon there could be traps, bosses, and other creatures. These dungeons could also provide good backstory for haven's past. Anyways the items/item within this dungeon should be highly desirable. A summoning, ability, weapon, misc item, or enchantment could be gained. Of course the item should be strong, but supervised and designed by the site. A dungeon can only be captured by one person or a team. Two parties who enter will have to work to get to the treasure room first. Anyways I just thought this would be fun, and encourage strong character relationships, plus maybe ultimately form guilds.

it's a decent idea, the problem I see is in making a desirable prize. Since anyone can make anything they want at any time and ryo prizes are plentiful. It'll be kinda difficult to come up with a prize that people will actually be interested in enough to actually participate. xD

Well it'd be like gaining an extra slot. It's the equivalent of expanding levels in a MMO. A country leader has what 8? 7? abilities and just as many weapons. If they were to complete this dungeon they would be given a new ability. Maybe a dungeon prize could be a fusion item, which can bond items together to make them stronger, and free up a space.

The dice rolling mechanic can be used to randomly generate dungeons.

The roll revealing a dungeon tile displaying information about the room, and what types of monsters are in there.

Dice rolls:

Dungeon Roll:
Boss Roll: Boss-level creatures.
Elite Roll: Elite-level creatures.
Basic Roll: Standard creatures.
Minion Roll: Minion-level creatures.
Boon Roll: Beneficial effects.
Trap Roll: Traps.
Event Roll: Special happenstances.

ect....

There could even be several different Dungeon Rolls.
Easy D Roll:
Mild D Roll:
Hard D Roll:
Lethal D Roll:
Legendary D Roll:

oh I like the suggestion itself, just don't try to entice players with limited prizes that happen to be something that they can already make a better version of themselves.

I suppose a suggestion would be to have prizes that are miscs with actual useful bonuses. Nothing hugely game breaking, but cute little battle miscs. xD
(ex. a bunny hood that allows you to jump higher, a scarf that lowers 'cold' damage, a ring that let's you cast a simple spell. etc)

otherwise, stop trying to entice people into joining altogether and just grab a couple of friends who wanna kill monsters because fuck monsters. and be happy with the ryo from posting. xD

I like that idea, maybe they wouldn't be items, but enchantments that you could sell to other players, or put on items.

to be honest, gems aren't really enticing. they have a ton of 'small print' attached to them and most of the stuff in the gem shop isn't particularly interesting.

Guess if they updated the gem shop it would actually change things, but do note gems are easy to obtain by doing missions as well. xD
